Nelson

Before coming to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, Nelson lived on a farm in Southern Ontario. When Nelson’s companion donkey passed away his former owner decided to downsize their herd instead of adding another donkey to it and the DSC was contacted to see if we would be able to take Nelson in and provide him with the loving care he deserved. Nelson arrived in the Spring of 2021.

Nelson is a very timid donkey and took a while to feel comfortable in his new surroundings, but DSC staff have noticed that he is settling in. He also made some new friends already and can often be found in the company of Noah and Timbit, who are also new donkeys to the DSC.
