Duke

Before coming to the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC), Duke lived on a farm in Eastern Ontario. On this farm, Duke lived with horses; however, Duke wasn’t getting along with the horses, and the owners had no other area to house Duke in. Being concerned about Duke’s well-being, they contacted to DSC to see if we were able to take in this little donkey who needed some fellow donkey friends. Duke arrived in December 2019.

Duke is an adorable and curious little donkey. He is blind in his right eye, but that doesn’t stop him. Duke was buddied up with Oliver Twist, another little donkey that arrived in 2019 and is fully blind.
