Join Us for a Free Professional Donkey Farriers' Clinic at the DSC!

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada is excited to partner with the Ontario Farriers Association (OFA) to offer a FREE onsite professional farriers’ clinic. This is a fantastic opportunity for farriers to deepen their understanding of donkey hoof care.

Clinic Details:

  • Date: March 22, 2025       10am-3pm

  • Location: The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada

  • Cost: Free

Our expert clinicians, Chris Gerber and Wendy Wood, will lead the session, covering essential topics such as:

  • Donkey hoof morphology and unique characteristics

  • Behaviour considerations when handling and trimming donkeys

  • Effective trimming techniques

Participants will also have the opportunity for hands-on demonstrations in trimming and treating common hoof conditions like laminitis and white line disease.

Whether you’re an experienced farrier or new to working with donkeys, this clinic is an invaluable learning experience.
