Monte’s health journey

Monte’s health journey
In January 2024, your donations helped us provide Monte with medication to treat Immune-Mediated Keratitis
Monterey

In January 2024, Monte was dealing with a disease called Immune-Mediated Keratitis, which was causing some discomfort and a deep ulcer on his left eye.

He made a little trip to the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) for some testing to find out exactly what was going on and how to best treat him.

Once back home at the DSC, our animal care team administered medication meds and Monte rocked a special mask to protect those eyes from any rubbing. He had lots of care and attention and was quickly feeling much better!

Keep shining, Monte – we’re all rooting for you!
